Four Weddings and a Funeral...minus the four weddings

We took a trip to Burley, Idaho a couple weekends ago for Jonny's grandma's funeral. While it was sad to see her go, it was definitely nice to know that she won't be suffering anymore. She was 88 and had a pretty serious case of Alzheimer's. It was also really great to spend some time with Jonny's extended family. We played games and hung out talking. We also got to meet Jonny's cousin's fiancee. Emily, his cousin, is pretty awesome, so we were a little hesitant about this Bobby kid, but he proved his "worthiness" to join the family right away. I'm sure he was pretty intimidated by meeting the family all at once, but he did well. He will forever be known as the arm wrestling champion of the family. :) Oh, how I wish I had a picture of that!

Anyway, the funeral itself was ok...a little too long, in my opinion. After the service, we drove about 30 minutes to Oakley, ID where Grandma Paloma was to be buried. It was very cold and very windy, so I wasn't able to get as many pictures there as I would've liked.

Everyone in this picture is a descendant or spouse of a descendant of Bill and Paloma. Wow. That's a lot of people!

Good ole Eric. He's a funny guy.

And that pretty much sums it up! What a fun family!

Photo Shoot

My sister-in-law, Sara, has started up her own photography business, and to add to her portfolio and as a baby gift to us, she took some pictures of the girls. Lily was being a snot that day, but we bribed her with candy...haha. We ended up with some really great pictures of both of the girls...I can't wait to get them printed (it's on my list!). Hannah's Baby Blessing

On March 8, 2009, when she was 5 weeks old, we blessed Hannah at our house. For those of you who aren't LDS, when our babies are young, we bless them with the name that they will be known on the church records and give them a blessing for their future. We had family and friends join us and after the blessing we had some really yummy food and had a great time just hanging out.

While my mom was here, we made Hannah's blessing dress. Well, actually my mom made it - I just watched... It turned out great! I hope that Hannah will have it to bless her own children in. Here's mom making it:

I Love My Mommy!

My mom came to visit from 3/1-3/12. It was sooooo great to have her here! She cooked me food, did my laundry, fed Lily, and watched the girls while I got to sleep! She also helped me with some projects that I had been needing to get done, which was really nice. We were able to bless Hannah while she was here, too, which made her 6 for 6 on her grandkids' baby blessings! (That will be a separate post...) We didn't take many pictures, but here are a few:

We found that Lily is extremely good at stacking blocks. This picture is kinda fuzzy, but you can see how tall she made her tower!

We were out and about one day doing errands, and it was time for Hannah to eat. So we stopped at a park and mom took Lily to the playground while I fed Hannah. For 15-20 minutes, all Lily wanted to do was swing...and of course, she freaked out when it was time to leave. As much as I love the snow, I can't wait for it to be warm again so we can go to a park.

My mom called Hannah "The Pink Burrito." Kinda sounds like her superhero name.

I had a great time visiting with my mom, and I can't wait for her to come again!

A Visit With Rachel

My sister, Rachel, came to visit from 2/19-23. I hadn't seen her since her wedding in August 2007, and it was great to spend some time with her! She's having her first baby in May so I got to see her cute little belly. We mainly just hung out and enjoyed the kids. She had recently bought a Sony Alpha 350 DSLR...wonderful camera! We took a LOT of test pictures...here are some good ones...

We went on a walk on Sunday. It was really cold! But Lily loves to be in her stroller!
The family....
One of my favorite pictures ever!

Just a closer shot...

Hannah looking slightly suspicious of the big black thing in her face.

And, once again, Hannah.

It was a great visit! We also got to see Rachel's husband, Phill, who visits Utah quite a bit for work. Thanks for visiting, Rachel! I hope we get to see you again soon!
